Ford Motor Co. designers Ian and Moray Callum receive the Jim Clark Memorial Award for 2006 from the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers.

The Callum brothers, designers at Jaguar Cars and Ford, respectively, were cited for their contribution to global car design.

Ian Callum most recently designed the Jaguar XK, well received by the automotive press and enthusiasts. He currently serves as director of design at Jaguar.

Moray Callum, 48, earlier this month returned to Ford in the U.S. from a stint at Mazda Motor Corp. in Japan. He now is design director-Ford cars for the Americas.

The Jim Clark Memorial Award is named after Jim Clark, who in 1967 gave Ford its first-ever Formula 1 win by driving a Lotus 49 powered by a Ford-Cosworth V-8 Grand Prix engine to the checkered flag.
