Ford Canada to Launch Hybrid CUVs

Ford Motor Co. will make hybrid versions of Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX cross/utility vehicles by 2010 in Oakville, Ont., Canada. Ford is investing C$1 billion ($820 million) in establishing the new Oakville Assembly Campus. The Edge and MKX, with conventional gasoline powertrains, launch production in the fourth quarter in Oakville.
