Ford Motor Co. marks the 60th anniversary of its venerable F-Series pickup by offering special-edition ’08 F-150 and Super Duty models.

The vehicles will boast a 2-tone paint scheme of dark shadow gray over ebony, or a reverse color scheme, Ford says.

In addition, the limited-edition F-150 will come equipped with the XLT chrome package, which includes a chrome grille, running bars and exhaust tips. The Super Duty version receives the same chrome package but gets chrome wheels, the auto maker says.

Both special-edition pickups will sport commemorative 60th anniversary badges in multiple locations on the exterior and interior. The serial number of each truck will be laser engraved on the center console armrest.

Ford will build 7,500 anniversary F-150s and 2,500 Super Duties. The trucks will be available this winter.
