Ford Establishes China R&D Center

Ford says the new company will play an integral role in its global R&D and component-sourcing network.

Ford Motor China Ltd. says government approval has been granted for the establishment of Ford Motor Research & Engineering (Nanjing) Co. Ltd.

Announced at the Beijing Auto Show last November, the new company will play an integral role in Ford's global R&D and component-sourcing network, the auto maker says.

The new entity will be located in the Jiangning Economic & Technological Development Zone near Nanjing, Jiangsu province.
