On the home front, Ford announces it is raising prices on its Explorer, Ranger and Lincoln Continental models. Explorer's 1995 sticker is up 5.5% to $19,470 for a base model and 17.1% to $34,420 for a high-content 4x4. Wow, for that you can get a baby Bimmer or low-line Lexus. Ranger prices climb 4.2% to $10,569 for a regular-cab 4x2 and 10% to $19,915 for the 4x4 SuperCab Splash model. The new Continental has a base price of $41,375, up 20.4% from the 1994 model.
