Ford is launching 100 Transit centers across the U.K. to showcase its next generation of commercial vehicles in a cutting-edge environment.

The centers, with high-tech showrooms, enhanced aftersales and service standards and extended opening hours, are the focus of Ford’s Transit24 aftersales program, announced in February, aimed at minimizing vehicle downtime and reducing costs for CV operators.

Transit24 will offer while-you-wait servicing to suit the customer, including regular late- night appointments, and will respond within 20 minutes to online service booking requests.

The launch of the Transit center network is aligned with the transformation of Ford’s CV range, which will see four new models – Transit Courier, Transit Connect, Transit Custom and Transit – introduced by 2014.

Ford has been the U.K.’s top CV seller for 47 consecutive years, with fleets accounting for more than 85% of new-CV sales.

Ford says in a statement the 100 sites will be upgraded by the end of 2014 as part of the automaker’s investment in the U.K.’s largest dealer network.

Each center will have a dedicated CV sales team and technicians with specialized workshop equipment, tools and training to handle service, maintenance and warranty work.
