The extensively revamped 1997 Lincoln Continental Mark VIII sports some neat features, including an industry first: a string of neon lights on the underside of the driver's-side rearview mirror that flash intermittently in tandem with the turn signal. The idea is to warn other motorists coming up behind -- who perhaps can't see the regular rearmounted turn signal -- that you're going to make a left.
