Bert Hulgrave, a veteran of General Motors Corp., is the new executive director of industry affairs for the National Automobile Dealers Assn.

Hulgrave arrives at NADA after a 29-year career at GM.

At GM he served in a number of positions, most recently as director of global retail business processes, overseeing the development of retail and wholesale standards and processes.

Before that, he served as the auto maker's director of industry and dealer affairs.

In that role, he was primarily responsible for improving overall dealer relations and led the auto maker's activities and communications with NADA and GM's Dealer Council.

“We look forward to the valuable industry insight he brings from his experience at GM,“ says NADA President Phil Brady.

Hulgrave will report to NADA Industry Affairs Group Vice President Michael Regan, and will oversee the operations of association's industry analysis and industry relations efforts. He will focus on activities related to enhancing dealer-manufacturer relations and communications.
