GM Daewoo Gets First Sports Car

General Motors Corp.'s next-generation compact rear-wheel drive roadster is bound for South Korea.

GM Daewoo Auto & Technology Co. will field the next model off the Compact RWD Performance Architecture, which currently underpins Saturn's Sky and Pontiac Solstice.

The platform also underlies the Opel GT, which goes on sale in Europe next year. GM's Wilmington, DE, plant builds all three vehicles.
