Aura will start at $20,595.

Saturn Corp.'s new midsize Aura sedan, one of three new vehicles the General Motors Corp. division hopes will lead its turnaround, will start at $20,595 when it hits U.S. showrooms in late summer.

The base model Aura XE includes a 3.5L V-6 with variable valve timing (VVT), mated with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The Aura XR, priced at $24,595, comes with a twin-cam 3.6L V-6 with VVT and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Both trim levels come standard with 4-wheel antilock disc brakes and side curtain airbags. Wheels are 17-in. on the XE and 18-in. on the XR.

Saturn will deliver a mild hybrid version of the Aura, as well, but those prices have not been released.

Saturn, which recently launched sales of its new Sky roadster, also will roll out the Outlook cross/utility vehicle later this year.
