Tony March, owner of an Eastern dealership group, is the first recipient of the Edwin D. Biagas Sr. Diversity Advocacy Award from the General Motors Minority Dealers Association in conjunction with The Reynolds and Reynolds Company.
The award will be presented annually to those who exemplifies the late Mr. Biagas' work ethic. (See page 13 for a story on his widow's efforts to run his Pennsylvania dealership.)
“What Mr. Biagas did to advance minority-owned dealerships — the numerous changes he made to the system over the years — has made our industry what it is today,” says Greg Jackson, the association's president.
March runs the March/Hodge Holding Company in Hartford, CT. It operates 23 dealerships in seven states.
