Milan Red billed as Austria’s first hypercar.

Milan Automotive says it already has sold 18 of the 99 Milan Red hypercars it is building at €2 million ($2.34 million) a copy.

The Milan Red’s interior design includes the visualization of the driver’s heartbeat.

Named after a bird of prey, the street-legal Red’s characteristics includes 1,325 hp, 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.47 seconds and a top speed exceeding 250 mph (400 km/h).

This is achieved by a 6.2L V-8 Quad Turbo rear drive operating entirely without electric support and crafted by global automotive supplier AVL.

The company says the Milan Red is the first street-legal car with a wishbone suspension manufactured wholly from carbon fiber. It is produced by Peak Technology in Upper Austria and keeps the Red’s weight down to 2,860 lbs. (1,300 kg).

“Nowadays, you can drive an artistic car, a high-tech-monster, a throne on four wheels – or a car that only serves one purpose – stealing the show,” Milan Automotive CEO Markus Fux says in a statement. “This is where we come into play.”
