Darren has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from OSU and a MBA from Arizona State. He started his career putting his studies to work during college at his family’s amusement ride manufacturing business. He ventured from there to work for Intel as an equipment development engineer and moving on to complex program management of Manufacturing operations and engineering. He honed his skills in the business segment as a VP, delivering manufacturing execution systems to the major market verticals.

Brian Irwin is a Managing Director and leads Accenture’s Automotive and Mobility practice across North America.  Brian has over 25 years of experience serving Automotive and Industrial clients across North America, Europe and Asia, and focuses on helping companies capitalize on the opportunities that are being created by the digital disruption that is fueling innovation, new products and new services across the industry.

Dr. Florian Baumann joined Dell Technologies in 2019 as CTO for Unstructured Data Solutions. He brings industry-recognised expertise in Automotive and Artificial Intelligence to the position, and is a regular speaker at events and conferences. A leading authority on Machine Learning and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, Florian has published more than 20 studies on human action recognition and object tracking. Florian’s academic background is in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, leading to a PhD in Machine Learning applied to Scene Understanding in 2015 from the Leibniz University of Hannover.

Dr. Irene J. Petrick, Senior Director of Industrial Innovation in the Internet of Things Group - Intel
Dr. Irene J. Petrick joined Intel in 2015 and is Senior Director of Industrial Innovation in the Internet of Things Group.  Irene focuses on emerging technology, social, and global trends and their combined impact on the industrial space.  Her work highlights the industrial internet of things, edge computing, the transition to intelligent manufacturing and the needs of the future workforce, 3D printing and distributed manufacturing and the new business models that are enabled by intelligent manufacturing.  Prior to joining Intel, Irene was a professor at Penn State and has been actively engaged with companies in their innovation and technology strategies for over 25 years, including work with twelve Fortune 100 companies, the U.S. military, and a wide variety of small to medium sized enterprises. Petrick is author or co-author on more than 200 publications and presentations.

Michael Ger has over 25 years of experience working in industry and Information Technology strategy roles. He has deep cross-industry knowledge in product development, manufacturing, supply chain and customer experience related business processes. As General Manager of Manufacturing and Automotive Industries at Hortonworks, Mike is responsible for driving the solution vision and go-to-market strategies within each industry segment and works with industry leaders to drive next-generation business insights through Big Data Analytics. Prior to joining Cloudera (previously Hortonworks), Mike worked at Oracle for over 20 years as their Automotive Industry lead, at A.T.
