In a fashion-themed display that celebrates the marque’s centenary, Fiat Auto SpA’s Lancia brand will unveil the New Ypsilon and special-edition Musa, plus a revamped Thesis and Phedra at the upcoming Paris auto show.
The new Thesis will be powered by a 185-hp 2.4L Multijet engine and boasts more sophisticated interiors and original exterior details, Lancia says, while the Phedra will come equipped with a powerful 2.0L JTD mill.
One of the highlights of Lancia’s Paris lineup will be the Lancia Delta HPE concept car, a prototype representing an updated shooting brake (station wagon) version of the Lancia Beta HPE, a design concept dating back to the late 1970s.
Lancia says the New Ypsilon marks its first step towards a new future. The New Ypsilon has “all the distinction of a top-drawer elite car with the handling of a mini,” the auto maker says.
In recognition of its centenary, Lancia will debut the Musa Collezione Centenario custom car, which touts a ‘b-color’ (two-tone) body and a commemorative logo on the B-pillar. The car is powered by a 1.3L Multijet engine and features a DFN gearbox (robotized electronic clutch, without pedal, with servo-assistance), a Gran Luce sunroof and Bose sound system.
Meanwhile, Lancia announces its “b-color” paint scheme, once offered only on top-of-the-line models, will be available on nearly every model, including the Musa and Ypsilon.
