Mitsubishi will give the world the first look at its concept for a new-generation compact sedan at the 34th Bangkok International Motor Show later this month.

Mitsubishi says the world debut of the Concept G4 Compact Sedan Concept Car, which the auto maker plans to roll out globally, will be at the show running March 25-April 7.

The Concept G4 uses a high-clarity brilliant-cut diamond motif in the design of the front grille, headlamps and rear combination lamps to create a commanding presence.

Mitsubishi says in a statement the styling features a short nose that delivers an outstanding forward field of view and superior maneuverability. Graceful and flowing side proportions are meant to balance interior space, which Mitsubishi claims is among the best in class.

The Concept G4 also is expected to achieve fuel economy with the best in the segment, thanks in part to its lightweight design that makes extensive use of high-strength steel.

The powertrain features Mitsubishi’s compact 1.2L 4-cyl. engine mated with a continuously variable transmission.
