CES  – short for the Consumer Electronics Show – is one of the largest and most influential technology trade shows in the world. While it is a leading event for consumer electronics, innovation and emerging technologies, it has also become, in most years, an important venue for mobility companies and automakers.

Honda showed an update on its 0 electric vehicles expected to hit the market in 2026. Toyota gave us an update on its Woven City, a planned smart city located at the foot of Mount Fuji in Japan. Zeekr was the only Chinese company with a presence. We learned that the brand has set up a U.S. office, although company officials say it is not planning to enter the U.S. market.

Scout Motors was at CES for the first time. The Volkswagen-owned brand showed its two concept vehicles introduced last fall and disclosed that the models will come with satellite-based connectivity, meaning the vehicles will be moving hotspots.

WardsAuto host David Kiley reports from the show floor and talks with Bosch Mobility President Paul Thomas and Yazaki Innovations CEO Erik Fleming.
