Infiniti announces pricing and other details for the all-new QX55 after introducing the midsize luxury CUV during a streamed November concert.

The QX55 in Luxe trim will have an MSRP of $46,500 when it arrives at U.S. dealerships in April.

Also available in Essential and Sensory trim levels, the 2022-model-year QX55 will have as standard Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive, 20-in. wheels, wireless Apple CarPlay compatibility and what Infiniti calls class-leading cargo capacity “among similarly styled competitors.”

Described as the “spiritual successor” to the Infiniti FX, the QX55’s coupe-like styling retains all of the Nissan luxury brand’s design cues, “delivering a fresh interpretation of the FX silhouette,” Infiniti says.

The new QX55 is powered by a Variable Compression Turbo 4-cyl. making 268 hp and 280 lb.-ft. (380 Nm) of torque and harnessed to a continuously variable transmission with manual shift mode.

Inside, the QX55 features Infiniti’s dual-screen InTouch infotainment system with multiple USB inputs for Android Auto compatibility and charging. The upper 8-in. (20-cm) and lower 7-in. (18-cm) high-resolution screens inform and entertain, and a 16-speaker Bose audio system is available. Sliding second-row seats provide flexible cargo capacity or increased legroom.

In addition to standard features, the Luxe trim level offers a power-sliding tinted glass moonroof, dark aluminum interior trim accents, Active Noise Cancellation and active safety features including forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, predictive forward collision warning, high beam assist, lane departure warning, blindspot warning and rear cross-traffic alert. A fast 4G LTE connection offering Wi-Fi connectivity for up to seven devices is included.

The Essential trim level adds Infiniti InTouch Navigation, leather-appointed perforated seats, climate-controlled front seats, an Around View Monitor with moving object detection, a heated steering wheel and Bose Performance Series premium audio with 16 speakers starting at $51,600.

Also standard with Essential models is the ProASSIST Package including adaptive front lighting and more driver-support features including intelligent cruise control, distance control assist, blindspot intervention and lane departure prevention. The available ProACTIVE Package includes traffic sign recognition, direct adaptive steering, head-up display and the ProPILOT Assist system that supports the driver with steering assist and intelligent cruise control.

The top-of-the-line Sensory trim level starts at $57,050. It includes all of the aforementioned features and adds semi-aniline leather-appointed seating, natural open-pore wood trim accents, tri-zone automatic climate control, a motion-activated liftgate and interior ambient lighting.

The ’22 QX55 marks the beginning of a product overhaul for  Infiniti. An all-new QX60 three-row crossover will join the lineup later in the year.
