There are no details on the model just yet, but a sneak peek released of the upcoming CUV indicates the design is just as quirky as Nissan said it would be.

Nissan’s Infiniti luxury brand releases a teaser shot of a highly stylized QX30 CUV concept it will unveil at the Geneva auto show next month that is expected to be a close-to-production version of the model.

Nissan is supplying no details on the QX30 concept just yet, but the production QX30 will share its architecture with the Mercedes CLA-Class sedan and an unnamed Mercedes CUV, plus the upcoming Infiniti Q30 hatcback set to launch in May.

U.S.-market QX30s initially will be supplied from Nissan's Sunderland, U.K., plant. Production is expected to begin there in December 2015.

In an interview in September, former Nissan Executive Vice President Andy Palmer told WardsAuto the QX30 concept is hard to classify in terms of its design and packaging, making it “somewhat like the Qashqai CUV in that (regard),” adding Infiniti aims to be “disruptive” with the new model.

The QX30 concept will be revealed at the Geneva show March 3.
