Infiniti to Locate Global Headquarters in Hong Kong

Nissan’s Infiniti luxury brand is locating its global headquarters in Hong Kong.
The Japanese auto maker says Infiniti's growth strategy is expected to be driven partly by demand in China and other Asian markets, which can be served more effectively by consolidating the brand’s global functions in Hong Kong.
Infiniti looking to lift total global sales to 500,000 annually.
The move comes as Infiniti seeks to lift total global sales to 500,000 vehicles a year as part of Nissan's 6-year business plan, known as Nissan Power 88.
"From April 1, 2012, we’re going to establish a Nissan hub headquarters in Hong Kong.
We are also going to establish an Infiniti HQ in that office,” Nissan Executive Vice President Andy Palmer says in part on a Nissan website.
So this is the opportunity to bring together basically all of our Infiniti global management team.”
Corporate functions in Hong Kong, expected to involve about 100 staff, will include Infiniti’s global marketing and sales, Nissan says in a statement.
