Ward's Communications will present the 12th annual Auto Interiors Show May 18-19, 2005, at Detroit's Cobo Center.

Ward's recently acquired the show from VNU Expositions.

The Auto Interiors Show, the only event in North America dedicated to new technology, design and material trends for vehicle interiors, is expected to draw thousands of attendees from the ranks of the world's major auto manufacturers and suppliers.

Conference sessions will cover a wide swath of topics germane to designers and engineers devoted to passenger compartments.

One panel discussion will explore the evolving relationship between OEMs and suppliers when it comes to development of automotive interiors, while another will look forward to the cabin of the future. A session also will explore the integration of specific technologies into vehicles, including XM's Satellite Radio, Apple's iPod, Bluetooth and more.

Nearly 100 automotive suppliers are expected to exhibit at the event.

Ward's also plans to present the sixth annual Interiors of the Year awards during the event. The awards, honoring dynamic passenger car and light truck interiors from the new model year, were judged by automotive journalists and the industry at large, with winners to be announced at the show Wednesday, May 18, at 3 p.m.
