The votes have been tallied, and the Nissan Sentra has been deemed “Best in Show” among 2020 Wards 10 Best Interiors winners by attendees at this week’s Summer Festival of Automotive.

The three-day virtual event hosted by Wards’ parent company Informa Tech encompasses the WardsAuto Interiors Conference and WardsAuto UX Conference, as well as TU-Automotive Detroit, TU’s ADAS & Autonomous Vehicles Conference and TU’s Connected Car Insurance Conference. Today is the last day of the event.

On Wednesday, a virtual ceremony honored the 10 Best Interiors, with video profiles produced by WardsAuto and acceptance speeches from the winning automakers. All the video content will be posted on the WardsAuto site in the coming weeks.

During the 10 Best Interiors ceremony, virtual attendees were encouraged to vote for their favorite among the 10 winners, and the Sentra was top vote getter.

Wards editors in Detroit evaluated 32 vehicles with new or significantly improved interiors in April and May in selecting the 10 winners.

Judges were impressed that the '20 Nissan Sentra came so well equipped with stylish leather seats and impressive driver-assistance technologies and a sticker price of a mere $24,800 as tested in SV trim.

“We wanted to offer a premium interior on the 2020 Nissan Sentra because we believe it is possible to deliver a sleek and safe vehicle that does not sacrifice style for value,” says Thomas Mally, associate vehicle chief engineer at Nissan Technical Center North America. “To receive recognition that we exceeded our goal from Wards and then from our industry peers is an absolute honor and we thank you all for this Best in Show award.”

Today at 12:20 during the virtual conference, the 2020 Wards 10 Best UX winners will be honored in the same way, with WardsAuto video profiles and OEM acceptance speeches.

A “Best in Show” honoree also will be named among 10 Best UX winners, so vote early – and often.
