Magna to Curb Chrysler, Jeep Output

Production of Chrysler 300C cars and Jeep Commander and Grand Cherokee SUVs will shut down temporarily sometime in November.

VIENNA – Magna Steyr Fahrzeugtechnik AG & Co. KG will halt production of Chrysler LLC vehicles for several weeks at its plant in Graz, Austria.

Production of Chrysler 300C cars and Jeep Commander and Grand Cherokee SUVs will shut down temporarily sometime in November.

Magna Steyr expects to restart output of all three models in the second week of January.

Some 650 workers currently building the Chrysler and Jeep vehicles will be affected by the move.
