Hyundai Launches Kia Venga at Czech Plant

Production of a fourth model, a Hyundai MPV, will be added to the mix at the Nosovice plant in 2011.

VIENNA – Hyundai Motor Mfg. Czech s.r.o. launches serial production of the Kia Venga B-segment multipurpose vehicle at its Nosovice, Czech Republic, plant.

The Venga is the first Kia model manufactured in the Czech Republic.

Production got under way at Hyundai’s new plant in Nosovice in November 2008 with the launch of the Hyundai i30 hatchback. The i30CW station wagon was added in February.

Production of a fourth model, a Hyundai MPV, is slated to begin in 2011.

HMMC manufactured about 78,000 cars in the first nine months of 2009.

Venga first Kia built in Czech Republic.
