Kia reveals the first image of its new small CUV debuting this summer.

Inspired by the ’19 Kia SP Signature Concept, the automaker says the CUV will stand apart from rivals with the space and capabilities of a traditional SUV in a compact package.

Head of Styling Byung Chul Juh says Kia has created a car that stands out everywhere.

“Its robust yet sporty design will be matched by a wide range of features and technologies that are universally suited to younger buyers in markets around the world,” Juh says in a statement.

By adding a new global small CUV to its lineup, Kia is extending its range of CUVs for customers in every region.

It will go on sale in South Korea in second-half 2019, with sales in other regions to follow soon after.
