Kia releases photographs of its rear-drive 4-door sports sedan concept, which will debut at the Frankfurt auto show in September.

Believed to house a V-8, the sports sedan features a 4-seat cockpit in a sleek, sophisticated package.

“No matter from which perspective you look at it, this concept car is roaring with energy and ready for takeoff,” Kia design head Peter Schreyer says in a statement.

“I believe the car is a strong statement from Kia that we are ready to fast-forward to an all-new chapter.”

The concept, which will be the basis for a production model to launch in May, will be shown on the Kia stand along with the all-new compact 3-door Rio and a revised Kia Soul 5-door, also making their global debut.
