PARIS – Italian supercar maker Lamborghini is hoping to cash in on the improving economic situation in France with the opening of its fifth new showroom in the country.
Its chairman and CEO, Stefano Domenicali, was on hand to open the doors to the latest Lamborghini outlet in the heart of the French capital at 2 Rue Bellini, Puteaux, in the 5th Arrondissement. It boasts a total surface of 12,916 sq.-ft. (1,200 sq.-m) with a showroom and service center.
As the first French showroom to feature the brand’s new interior design, opportunities to “touch and feel” the world of Lamborghini include a client lounge including a car-configuration system; a display area large enough to accommodate all the product range; and a high-tech service center. The Collezione Automobili Lamborghini range of clothing and accessories has a dedicated area in the showroom.
The new outlet joins Lamborghini’s dealer network in France with Lyon, Mulhouse, Cannes and Monaco. The commercial partner chosen for Lamborghini Paris is Schumacher Group, a French family company with 70 years of experience in the car business.
“In 2017 we achieved a sales record with a total of 127 deliveries in France and Monaco, which represents an increase of 35% in comparison to 2016,” Domenicali says.
“France has now become our third-strongest market in Europe after U.K. and Germany. With Urus’ market introduction we forecast a new record year in France in 2018,” he says of Lamborghini’s new SUV.
Lamborghini set another sales record in 2017 with 145 dealers serving 50 countries as worldwide deliveries to customers increased from 3,457 to 3,815 units, up 10% compared to the previous year. With sustained growth over seven years, the automaker has almost tripled its sales numbers since 2010 (1,302 units).
