Ad measurement company says Lexus spot resonated with viewers.

A Lexus spot highlighting the new ’21 IS sports sedan tops iSpot.tv’s latest ranking of the most-viewed automotive commercials – the ads collecting the highest number of impressions across national broadcast and cable TV airings.

According to an iSpot Ace Metrix survey, the Lexus ad scored above the norm across all industries for likability and desire. Viewers considered the product itself to be the single best thing about the commercial, and brand recognition for Lexus registered at 84% of viewers.

Subaru owns the next two spots on the ranking for the week of Jan. 25. At No.2, a family traveling in the ’21 Ascent narrowly escapes disaster thanks to the CUV’s EyeSight Pre-Collision Braking technology.

The third-place spot reveals Subaru and its retailers last year donated 50 million meals to Feeding America – and this year they are doing it again, but this time with 100 million meals. This spot scored above the norm across all industries for multiple aspects, especially attention, likability and information. Over half (57%) of iSpot Ace Metrix survey respondents said the charitable message was the single best thing about the ad.

Lincoln slips from first to fourth place with its spot for the Corsair, one of the brand’s luxury CUVs that can provide comfort even in places of extreme temperature, such as the frigid Kenai Mountains in Alaska.

Chevrolet rounds out the ranking with its enduring spot showcasing how its vehicles help make life “just better.”
