Roberto Ronchi succeeds Karl-Heinz Kalbfell as CEO of Fiat SpA’s Maserati brand.

Kalbfell, who has led Maserati for the last year, steps down immediately but agrees to stay with the auto maker temporarily to ensure a smooth leadership transition.

Ronchi, 47, has been head of Fiat’s fleet car sales. The auto maker says Ronchi will retain those responsibilities.

Kalbfell replaced former Ford of Europe CEO Martin Leach and, until 12 months ago, also had full responsibility for Alfa Romeo. Antonio Baravalle now heads Alfa Romeo.
