Maserati marks the end of production of its 572-hp twin-turbo V-8 by showcasing the engine in two models making their global debuts at the U.K.’s annual Goodwood Festival of Speed: the Ghibli 334 Ultima and Levante V-8 Ultima.

International automaker Stellantis’ luxury performance brand says more than 100,000 V-8 grand tourers have been produced since the launch of the Maserati 5000 GT in 1959.

The Ghibli 334 Ultima’s name refers to its top speed in kilometers per hour (207 mph), making it what Maserati says is the current fastest internal-combustion-engine sedan in the world.

The Ghibli 334 will take part in the Goodwood Hillclimb event, as will Maserati’s all-new ’24 GranTurismo Trofeo powered by a 542-hp Nettuno V-6. The Trofeo uses a pre-chamber combustion system featuring twin spark plugs derived from Formula 1.

Also displayed at Goodwood will be the Maserati GranTurismo One-Off Prisma and the brand’s first all-electric model, the GranTurismo Folgore.

The Folgore features 800V battery technology and technical solutions developed for Formula E competition, giving the 4-seat coupe a range of 280 miles (450 km) and top-up charging for 60 miles (97 km) in just five minutes. The grand tourer is driven by three 300-kW permanent-magnet motors which deliver maximum available power of more than 750 hp at 996 lb.-ft. (1,350 Nm) of torque to the wheels.

Maserati also will show off its second all-electric model at Goodwood, the Grecale Folgore. Its 105-kWh battery using 400V technology gives the midsize luxury CUV a range of 310 miles (500 km) with more than 500 hp and 605 lb.-ft. (820 Nm) of torque.

The brand’s final entry at the four-day Goodwood event is the MC20 Cielo, which will participate again in the Hillclimb. It is distinguished by a carbon-fiber chassis, retractable smart glass roof and Formula 1-derived 621-hp Nettuno V-6.
