Maserati Names New North America CEO

The Italian sports car maker is in the midst of a product offensive, with plans to launch the Quattroporte this year and its first fullsize sedan, the Maserati Ghibli.

Maserati taps Peter Grady, vice president of Chrysler’s dealer network development, as CEO of its North American operations.

Grady succeeds Bob Graczyk, who is moving on to a new position within parent company Fiat’s Asia-Pacific operations.

Grady will retain his position at Chrysler while at his new post as the top executive at Maserati North America.  

“It is with pleasure and anticipation that I welcome Peter to Maserati,” Harald Wester, CEO of Maserati, says in a statement. “His background and industry experience will be a great basis for the continued expansion of Maserati in North America.”

The Italian sports car maker is in the midst of a product offensive, with plans to launch the Quattroporte sports sedan this year as well as a smaller version, the Maserati Ghibli.

Maserati also names Saad Chehab as global chief marketing officer. Prior to joining Maserati, Saad was president and CEO of the Chrysler brand. In his new position, Saad will report directly to Wester.

Succeeding Saad as president and CEO of Chrysler brand is Al Gardner, who most recently served as director of Chrysler Group’s Southeast Business Center.  

Steve Beahm is named senior vice president-supply chain management, filling and completing a previously announced personnel move. Prior to this position, Beahm served as vice president-U.S. sales operations.
