Mazda welcome sight to weary traveler in week’s most-engaging ad.

A Mazda ad set to the Patsy Cline song “Back in Baby’s Arms” tops the weekly Most Engaging Auto Ads chart, powered for WardsAuto by iSpot.tv.

The commercial, launched earlier this month, is part of Mazda’s continuing “Driving Matters” campaign. It shows a weary passenger enduring the hassles of air travel; when he finally arrives at the airport parking lot in his hometown and sees his beloved Mazda, the lyrics of the Cline classic (“I’m back in baby’s arms / How I missed those lovin’ arms / I’m back where I belong / Back in baby’s arms”) make perfect sense.

Audi takes a very different approach to the music for two of its latest commercials, which land in third and fifth place. Both use Iggy Pop/Stooges classics to lend a gritty, rock-and-roll aura to the Audi A4.

A goofy Scion ad starring a “car dealership tube man” holds steady at No.2, while Dodge takes fourth place with a “Batman v Superman” cross-promotion.
