Mazda Motor Corp. says it will debut a MX-5 Miata with retractable hardtop at next month’s British International Motor Show in London.
It marks the first time in the 16-year history of the roadster that it will be sold with a power retractable hardtop. Up to now, a removable hardtop has been optional, the auto maker says.
In North America, the vehicle will be known as the Mazda MX-5 Power Retractable Hard Top, while in Europe it will be called the Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe. In Japan, the car will be known as the Mazda Roadster Power Retractable Hard Top.
Also on hand in London next month will be the Mazda Sassou and Kabura concept vehicles, already shown at the Frankfurt and Detroit autos shows.
