Redesigned Mazda CX-9 to Make World Debut at Australia Show

The revamped model incorporates Mazda’s new “Kodo” design theme, with a sportier look and stronger road presence.

Mazda will unveil its new-look CX-9 cross/utility vehicle at the 2012 Australian International Motor Show.

The current CX-9 has sold more than 210,000 units in 74 countries, including North America and Australia.

Visitors to the Oct. 18-28 show will notice the model has been given Mazda’s “Kodo – Soul of Motion” design theme at the front and rear for a sportier look and a stronger road presence.

The revamped CX-9 will roll out to the Australian market later this year.

New active safety features such as forward obstruction warning, lane-departure warning and high-beam control have been included.

The revised CUV carries over the MZI 3.7L V-6 engine and 6-speed automatic transmission from the current model.

The infotainment system has been upgraded and features the latest audio, navigation and speech-recognition systems.
