Mercedes-Benz USA announces pricing and packaging for the ’23 AMG C 43 Sedan.
The sedan from Mercedes’ AMG performance division, now available in U.S. dealerships, is offered in two trim levels: Premium, with a base price of $59,900; and Pinnacle, with a base price of $62,700. Prices exclude $1,150 destination and delivery charges.
“The Premium trim showcases a generous suite of standard equipment, while the Pinnacle trim builds upon this with additional multimedia, connectivity and comfort features,” Mercedes says in a news release. Available packages and optional equipment present customers with a number of opportunities for customization.
The ’23 AMG C 43 is powered by a hand-built, 2.0L M139l I-4 (inset, below left), described by Mercedes as the world’s first series-production unit with an electric exhaust-gas turbocharger. This new form of turbocharging, derived directly from the technology used by the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team, provides spontaneous response across the entire engine rpm range, the automaker says.

The powertrain making 402 hp and 369 lb.-ft. (500 Nm) of torque also has two-stage direct injection; a cooling system that can cool the cylinder head and crankcase to different temperature levels; and a belt-driven starter generator that provides a temporary boost of up to 13 hp under certain driving conditions and supports gliding and recuperation for maximum efficiency. Also enhancing the driving experience are standard rear-axle steering, AMG Performance 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive with rear-biased torque distribution, AMG Speedshift MCT 9G transmission and AMG Ride Control suspension with adaptive damping system, Mercedes says.
The exterior of the AMG C 43 features an AMG-specific radiator grille with distinctive chrome vertical struts. Customers can choose from among an available AMG Performance Studio Package, AMG Carbon Fiber Package, AMG Night Package or AMG Night Package II, as well as new optional 20-in. AMG alloy wheels.
Inside, a flat-bottom AMG Performance steering wheel trimmed in Nappa leather is standard. New optional AMG Performance seats, available with MB-Tex/microfiber or leather upholstery, provide exceptional lateral support for the driver and front passenger during dynamic driving.
Other highlights of the Premium edition include biometric fingerprint scanner, 64-color ambient lighting, illuminated door sills, LED headlamps with adaptive high-beam assist, surround view system, Parktronic with active parking assist, blindspot assist and heated windshield washer fluid.
The Pinnacle level includes all features of premium trim but also offers MB Navigation, augmented video for navigation, head-up display with AMG-specific content, Burmester 3D surround sound system with online music streaming and sound personalization, inductive wireless mobile device charging and enhanced ambient lighting.
