Mercedes Offers New F&I Package

Since the “de-merger” with Chrysler Financial three years ago, Mercedes-Benz Financial has been working on a package of branded protection plans offered through Mercedes dealerships.

The project now is complete and includes guaranteed auto protection as well as interior, exterior, windshield, wheel and tire protection plans sold through finance and insurance offices.

Another F&I offering, a first for a luxury auto maker in the U.S., covers dents, scratches and other damage considered beyond normal wear-and-tear on a lease vehicle, Anamika Singhal, Mercedes Financial's general manager—Insurance Americas, tells Ward's.

Also available is a collision insurance package through Liberty Mutual. Benefits include original Mercedes parts replacement, 24-hour roadside assistance, towing to the nearest Mercedes dealer or certified Mercedes collision center, and new-car replacement if a damaged vehicle is declared a total loss.
