It's been savaged for its design, but BMW AG's controversial new 7-Series is confounding critics and selling quite well in the U.S.
Ward's data shows the flagship challenging the Mercedes S-Class since its launch in early March of this year, something it has not done in years. The data shows the 7-Series usually trails S-Class by a wide margin. Does BMW feel vindicated?
“What matters is how the buying public responds, and they have been responding very positively,” says a BMW spokesman.
