Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. says the body-on-frame platform underlying the new Pathfinder SUV will generate 600,000 units of production annually.
F-Alpha is one of five key global architectures remaining in Nissan's platform consolidation plan with alliance partner Renault SA.
Other Nissan vehicles using F-Alpha include the '04 Titan fullsize pickup, '04 Armada SUV, '04 Infiniti QX56 SUV, '05 Frontier small pickup truck and '05 Xterra SUV.
