Nissan Promotes Trevor Mann, Two More U.K. Executives
Trevor Mann helped launch the Sunderland plant in 1985 as a team leader, prior to the start of Bluebird production. He was named a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in January.
Nissan International promotes U.K. executive Trevor Mann to senior vice president-global supply chain management and operating committee for Africa, Middle East and India.
He now is senior vice president-manufacturing, supply chain management, production engineering and purchasing for Nissan International in Europe.
Mann joined the auto maker to help launch the Sunderland Plant in 1985 as a team leader, prior to the start of Bluebird production. He was named a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in January.
Nissan also promotes Jerry Hardcastle, vice president-vehicle design and development at Nissan Technical Center Europe in Cranfield to global chief marketability engineer. Additionally, he becomes global general manager of the technical center’s customer-oriented engineering department. He will remain based in Cranfield.
Hardcastle has spent 27 years in the auto industry, holding positions in design and development with Austin Rover Group and Nissan. He has worked in engine design, interior-trim design, project management and vehicle evaluation.
Hardcastle’s job will be taken by David Moss, now director-body and exterior engineering at the technical center, where he will continue to be based.
Moss joined Nissan as a graduate engineer in 1990. His rise through the ranks has included roles involving body design; interior and heating, ventilation and air-conditioning engineering; and corporate planning.
