Korean auto maker Renault Samsung releases photos and details of the interior of its upcoming luxury full size sedan, the all-new SM7, which launches July 17.

A company spokesman tells Ward’s the car will be marketed with that nameplate.

New SM7 wider than the current model, with more headroom and shoulder space.

CEO Jean Marie Hurtiger says in a statement the new SM7 has the most spacious and luxurious interior in its segment.

The vehicle is 3.35 ins. (8.5 cm) wider than the current model, with more headroom and shoulder space.

Knee room for rear seat passenger is increased by 2.8 ins. (7.0 cm).

The Nappa leather seats are fitted with aviation-type headrests front and rear, a first for such an application in the segment.

A 3-zone fully automatic ventilation system provides individual-controlled air conditioning from separate ports for the driver, front passenger and rear-seat passengers.

The new SM7’s exterior is a marked departure from the current version, resulting in a sleek, aerodynamically styled luxury sedan.

Sporty features include black 2-tone 18-in. alloy wheels, dual twin exhaust pipes and Bi-Xenon adaptive headlamps.

The large sedan was developed by Renault-Samsung in cooperation with the Renault-Nissan Alliance, and Hurtiger calls it a “sophisticated and splendid European prestige sedan.”
