Stellantis Charts Early Arrival For New Jeep Compass
Stellantis releases a design sketch of the next-generation Jeep Compass, promising to start production and sales in Europe in 2025, two years ahead of previous projections.
Jeep releases a glimpse of the lines of its new Compass compact CUV with news that it will reach markets two years ahead of previous projections.
As WardsAuto reported back in June, the automaker’s CEO, Carlos Tavares, on a visit to production facilities in Auburn Hills, Michigan, promised more Jeep models including a new Jeep Compass scheduled for 2027.
Now we are told the new model will debut in Europe and begin series production in Melfi, Italy, in next year before expanding production to North America and around the world in 2026.
The released design sketch of the new all-wheel-drive mainstream CUV shows an elongated aerodynamic profile. It will be built on the automaker’s flexible STLA Medium platform.
Stellantis says it will be available with a variety of powertrain options from battery-electric to hybrid and internal combustion engine to meet the widest possible range of choices for consumers in a multitude of global markets.
