Vauxhall marks its one-year anniversary as part of PSA Group by revealing a teaser image of its GT X Experimental brand concept for the mid-2020s that will provide a template for the future design of its production cars.

The GT X Experimental, due to be revealed later this year, is the first vehicle to feature the new Vauxhall face.

What’s apparently missing are cooling vents – a signal the car is likely to be an electric vehicle.

The headlights, daytime running lights, assistance systems’ cameras and sensors, along with the Griffin badge, are framed and protected by a unique design element. Reminiscent of the eye slot of a motorcycle helmet, the element, called Vizor, makes its debut on the GT X Experimental.

Led by Mark Adams, British vice president-design, the Vauxhall design team looked at a distinctive new execution for its future exterior and interior designs.

“Design will be at the heart of everything that we do in future,” Adams says in a statement. “It will truly differentiate the Vauxhall brand and make it sharper and more relevant to our core values.”
