Thin and slim yet boasting flexible passenger cabin space.

Automotive star of CES 2024, the radical Honda 0 Series Saloon concept sedan, wins the prestigious Red Dot: Best of the Best 2024 award in the Design Concept category.

Judges give special recognition to the Space-Hub, another concept within the Honda 0 Series, which was named within the same category.

The Space-Hub is a concept model that represents battery-electric vehicles as a “space” for people that Honda wants to realize in the future. Realizing a spacious cabin and excellent visibility based on the “Thin, Light, and Wise” development approach, the Space-Hub claims a flexible space that can accommodate what the users want to do and becomes a hub that connects people to people and people to society.

The car is the latest step in the brand’s global electrification approach. It features a unique futuristic aerodynamic body form being a low, wide design. The upright design of the side glass creates an expansive side panel while the shape narrows toward the side sills to accentuate the tires.

Its interior features a simple and intuitive human-machine interface free from unnecessary clutter and controls. The sporty styling with low vehicle height is still able to provide an interior space that is more spacious than people would imagine from the exterior.

Toshinobu Minami, managing director, design center, Honda R&D, says: “We designed the Saloon, named the ‘Best of the Best’, as a model that represents the major transformation of Honda, with the theme of achieving a 'resonance with the environment, society and customers' and with an original design that differentiates it from other models from the first glance.”
