Jeep’s European marketing drive for its new hybrid-powered 2024 Avenger 4xe starts with a continent-wide tour of cities to bring the car before potential customers.

The automaker says the vehicle will visit major European cities and appear at four renowned automotive events ahead of its official market launch.

Dubbed Adventure On The Road, the tour starts at the Red Bull Pool Drop at Mash in Germany. The Grand Pavois La Rochelle in France, CarFest in the U.K., and Autobello in Spain are among the main events it will attend including sports venues, lifestyle expos and music concerts.

At launch, the model will employ a 48V hybrid powertrain with all-wheel-drive technology paired to an automatic 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Its powertrain combines a 1.2L internal-combustion gasoline 3-cyl. claiming 136 hp plus two 28-hp electric motors powering both axles, delivering 1,401 lb.-ft. (1,900 Nm) of torque to the rear wheels, thanks to the 22.7:1 reducer coupled to the rear electric motor.

Claimed performance is the 0-to-62 mph (100 km/h) sprint time of 9.5 seconds on the way to a top speed of 120 mph (193 km/h).

Off-road credentials see a snow/mud mode where the all-wheel-drive system can lock traction up to a 50:50 torque split between the front and rear axles at speeds below 18.6 mph (30 km/h). From this speed up to 56 mph (90 km/h), the all-wheel drive is activated on demand. Meanwhile, a sport mode is enhanced by e-boost on the rear wheels.
