Updated Mini John Cooper Works Range, Prices and Specifications Revealed

Lineup for 2025 includes two BEV models and three ICE including an all-wheel-drive Countryman.

Mini tries to cover the powertrain bases with its uprated John Cooper Works range for 2025.

Mini unveils an uprated John Cooper Works model range including a 5-door ‘Clubman’ battery-electric version dubbed the Aceman, a gasoline twin-turbo hatchback and convertible, and an all-wheel-drive Countryman.

Both BEV JCWs feature the same powertrain claiming the equivalent of up to 258 hp and 258 lb.-ft. (350 Nm) of torque claiming the 0-to-62 mph (100 km/h) sprint time of 5.9 seconds for the JCW Electric hatch and 6.4 seconds for the Aceman and a top speed of 124 mph (200 km/h).

Claimed combined power consumption is 15.6 kWh/100 km for the Electric and 16.4 kWh/100 km for the Aceman. Both models provide an additional 20 kW of motor power via an electric boost function to aid acceleration.

The 3-door Electric claims a range of 230 miles (370 km), while the 5-door Aceman claims a 220-mile (354-mile) range on a single battery charge. Listed U.K. prices start from £38,420 ($49,175) for Electric and £40,220 ($51,479) for the Aceman.

The new JCW hatch and convertible boast a 2.0L twin-turbo gasoline engine producing 231 hp and 280 lb.-ft. (380 Nm) of torque. The 3-door tin-top sprints 0-to-62 mph in 6.1 seconds, while the convertible arrives soon after at 6.4 seconds and top speeds are 155 mph (250 km/h) and 152 mph (245 km/h), respectively. Both models claim a combined fuel consumption of 36 mpg (6.5 L/100 km).

The ragtop of the convertible can be fully retracted in 18 seconds at speeds of up to 18 mph (29 km/h). Prices in the U.K. start from £31,200 ($39,934) and £35,200 ($45,054), respectively.

The all-wheel-drive JCW Countryman wrings 300 hp and 295 lb.-ft. (400 Nm) of torque from the twin-turbo 2.0L with a top speed of 155 mph. Its fuel consumption is said to be a combined 30 mpg (7.8 L/100 km). For the first time, the Countryman offers partially automated Level 2 driving on highway routes. Prices start from $47,895.
