Despite the name, the Zeekr 7X is a 5-seater.

Chinese premium battery-electric vehicle maker Zeekr releases the first official images and details of its latest flagship performance SUV, the Zeekr 7X.

The company, a sister brand to Volvo owned by auto giant Geely, has expansion ambitions in Europe with retail outlets in Sweden and the Netherlands and it’s likely the upmarket 7X will make its way to the continent depending on the European Union’s tariff negotiations with China.

Billed as Zeekr's first family-focused SUV, the 7X, despite its name, is a 5-seater performance machine boasting dual-motor all-wheel-drive with a total maximum power output of 636 hp and a claimed 0-to-62 mph (100 km/h) dash in less than 4 seconds.

Based on Geely's SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) using the brand’s 800V powertrain system, the 7X measures 15.8 ft. (4,816 mm) long, 6.33 ft. (1,929 mm) wide and 5.43 ft. (1,655 mm) tall with a wheelbase of 9.59 ft. (2,923 mm).
