Toyota Motor Engineering and Mfg. North America Inc. (TEMA) names Norm Bafuno to the new role of vice president-North American production engineering.

The appointment of Bafuno, previously head of manufacturing at Toyota’s Princeton, IN, plant is part of a series of management changes TEMA made today.

Other changes include Toshio Yoshidome, currently project general manager-engine engineering division at Toyota Motor Corp. in Japan, who becomes vice president of powertrain and chassis at Toyota Technical Center in Michigan.

Yoshidome replaces Yoshikatu Nakamura, who is moving to a position at Toyota’s Washington office.

Kazumori Oi, senior advisor at the Princeton plant, will become president, TEMA says. Current plant President Shuichi Koyama will be assigned to an unnamed position at Toyota in Japan.
