A Toyota commercial offering an anthem for individualists tops this week’s Most Engaging Auto Ads ranking, powered for WardsAuto by iSpot.tv.

The ad, set to Lesley Gore’s 1963 hit “You Don't Own Me,” shows people engaging in all types of random activities – hanging around a campfire, playing basketball, biking, dressing up in costumes, driving – and occasionally singing along with Gore. The ad suggests if you really want to demonstrate your stubborn independence, you need to own a ’17 Corolla.

Election-themed ads from Audi and Jeep that last week debuted in the top two spots on the chart, respectively, each slip down a slot.

New at No.5 is a powerful ad from Subaru that emphasizes safety and shows traumatized young people who just had car accidents calling their parents to break the news to them that, as one sheepish girl puts it, “I wrecked the Subaru.” The commercial originally launched in late August and has been given nearly 3,000 airings on national TV.
