Toyota Raises Prices on Some Models for ’07

The RAV4 cross/utility vehicle sees the biggest jump, up $550 (2.4%) on average, as seat-mounted front-row side airbags and 2-row side curtain airbags are made standard.

Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. announces pricing for nine vehicles for the ’07 model year.

The Avalon flagship sedan begins at $26,875 and tops out at $34,065, an average increase of $100, or 0.3%.

Toyota adds a standard tire pressure monitoring system for the ’07 Avalon.

The Camry sees pricing increases of $250, or 1.2%, on average. A base Camry CE begins at $18,270, while the premium XLE is $27,820. The new pricing takes effect on or after Aug. 28 for U.S.-built Camrys, and Sept. 2 for those arriving on vessels from Japan on or after that date.

Pricing for the Camry Hybrid is unchanged at $25,900 and buyers can receive a federal hybrid tax credit worth $2,600 with purchases completed through Sept. 1, Toyota says.

Prius sees a $450, or 2.1%, jump for ’07, with a base price of $22,175. The tax credit for Prius is $3,150 and also is available for purchases completed by September.

A new Touring Edition Prius, which adds 16-in. alloy wheels, bigger real spoiler and specially tuned suspension, goes on sale this month, starting at $23,070.

The ’07 Yaris lineup, which includes the 3-door hatchback and 4-door sedan variants, sees average pricing increases of $100, or 0.8%, effective in early September. The Yaris 3-door begins at $11,050 and the 5-door starts at $11,925.

The RAV4 cross/utility vehicle now comes standard with seat-mounted front-row side airbags and 2-row side curtain airbags and begins at $20,850 for a base 2-wheel-drive model and tops out at $26,420 for the Limited trim with V-6 engine. Prices are up $550, or 2.4%, on average for the RAV4.

The Sequoia fullsize SUV also receives seat-mounted front-row side airbags and 2-row side curtain airbags, as well as adds a new appearance package. Pricing ranges from $33,160-$45,660, a $345, or 0.9%, increase.

The ’07 Highlander now is some $350, or 1.3%, more, starting at $24,880 for a base 2WD 4-cyl. models and topping out at $32,210 for a 4WD Limited V-6 model.

The Highlander Hybrid now can be had in 2-row configurations in both the base and Limited trims.

It begins at $32,490 for a base 2WD model and is $36,550 for a 4WD 3-row Limited model. The tax credit for Highlander Hybrid is $2,600, good for purchases made before September.

The Tacoma compact pickup truck sees an average increase of $100, or 0.5%, across the board. For ’07 Toyota adds a Vehicle Stability Control off-switch and roll sensing side curtain airbag off-switch.

The Tacoma 4x2 Regular Cab begins at $14,080 and a top-end Double Cab 4x4 long-bed model with V-6 engine and automatic transmission is $25,915.

The new FJ Cruiser SUV sees a $200, or 0.9%, jump, with a base 2WD model with automatic transmission beginning at $21,910 and a 4WD automatic model $23,500.
