A Wild West-style spot from Toyota leads iSpot.tv’s latest ranking of the most-viewed automotive commercials – the ads that have collected up the highest number of impressions across national broadcast and cable TV airings.

In the top-ranked ad for June 25-July 1, ranchers are seen trying to tame a spirited Tacoma instead of horses. Just when it appears the pickup truck has settled down, it breaks through a fence and joins other Toyotas in a dusty romp through the desert.

Chevrolet continues to grab eyeballs, increasing its impressions with three spots that have been ranked previously. First up, at No. 2, real Chevy owners tell stories about how their trucks got their battle “scars.”

Volkswagen slips from first place to third place with its short commercial encouraging viewers to “jump on the wagen” for the World Cup, no matter which team they choose.

The other spots from Chevy land at fourth and fifth place, with the No. 4 spot announcing the brand won J.D. Power dependability awards for its Malibu, Silverado, Traverse and Equinox models. Humor is front and center in the No. 5 commercial, which shows off three SUV models Chevy suggests are perfect for the different stages of a relationship.
