Audi Set to Take Wraps Off Q6 e-tron’s Futuristic Cockpit
The Audi Q6 e-tron’s new E3 electronics architecture allows the vehicle to integrate into the customer’s personal digital devices by offering a constantly updating personal infotainment and connectivity experience.
Audi will unveil its futuristic cockpit design for its upcoming Q6 e-tron BEV at next month’s IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich.
The vehicle, Audi’s first to employ the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) technology platform, is entering its final stages of development and full details of its new cockpit technology and design will be released at the show. During a media briefing, Audi design chief Marc Lichte will demonstrate how the interior of the Q6 e-tron places people at the center of the vehicle, rearranging the space inside the car to enhance the passengers’ digital experience, albeit in a heavily camouflaged test mule.
For example, the orchestration of the displays and the presentation of digital content creates a “digital stage.” Thanks to the new E3 electronics architecture in the Audi Q6 e-tron, the vehicle integrates into the customer’s personal digital devices by offering a constantly updating personal infotainment and connectivity experience.
In addition to the cabin’s technology, exhibits at the Volkswagen Group stand will provide insights into the technical foundations for the future of e-mobility at Audi, including a PPE powertrain.
